The Authority in Breed Registration

Since 1989, the IABBR has maintained the official studbook for Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldogs. Our closed registry, established in 1999, ensures the preservation of genetic purity and maintains the highest standards for breed integrity.

We stand as the sole authority for purebred Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog registration, opposing crossbreeding practices and maintaining the traditional bloodlines that define this magnificent breed.

Hello from the IABBR Genealogist

The IABBR Studbook is the supreme authority on purebred Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog pedigrees across the globe.

The compilation of the breed's studbook began in 1989 and was officially closed in 1999 by the breed's founder and parent club. This means that for the last 20 years to this day, all IABBR registered Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldogs are purebred and ascend directly from a closed gene pool of the foundation dogs that were used to create the breed. No outside blood has been allowed to enter the gene pool. The IABBR register the only purebred variety of Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldogs in the world.

Important Notice for Buyers

If you find for sale dogs and puppies advertised as purebred Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldogs and they do not have official IABBR paperwork, then it is likely that the dogs and puppies from this breeder are not purebred Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldogs and are more likely they will be mixed breed and will not hold the true, unique characteristics and temperament traits of the purebred Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog only found at the IABBR.

Our Ethical Stance

We stand vehemently against the blatant disregard for the preservation of the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog in its purity and believe that any kind of crossbreeding is wholly damaging to the limited gene pool of the purebred Alapaha Blue-Blood registered only by the International Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog Registry (IABBR) - "Where heritage matters".

Unacceptable Registries

The following registries have shown a flagrant disregard to the ethical registration process of pure breed dogs, namely but not limited to the Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog. We do not accept registration papers or pedigrees as proof of heritage from the following registries as they are all known to register cross bred dogs as purebred Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldogs:

  • American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC)
  • American Canine Association (ACA)
  • Alapaha Bulldog Registry/Club (ABR/ABC)
  • National Kennel Club (NKC)
  • New England Bull Breed Registry (NEBBR)
  • United Kennel Club (UKC)
  • World Wide Kennel Club (WWKC)
  • Unified Bull Breed Registry (UBBR)
